PROJECT ENGINEER

Exo is currently seeking a full-time Civil Engineering professional to join our team in our office locations (Orlando, Alexandria). The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Project Manager in a team environment and will be responsible for the preparation of site civil construction documents and related tasks for projects across various market sectors and locations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with due diligence and site feasibility analysis.

• Develop conceptual and schematic site plans, including layout, grading and drainage, earthwork calculations, stormwater management, and utility systems.

• Prepare construction documents utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, including demolition plans, site layout plans, erosion and sediment control plans, grading and drainage plans, stormwater management plans, utility plans, transportation improvements, and site details.

• Perform engineering calculations and assist with technical design solutions.

• Prepare quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimating.

• Support preparation of technical reports and permit applications.

• Assist with permitting coordination and agency submittals.

• Collect and evaluate field data and perform site visits.

• Assist with construction observation and field documentation.

• Coordinate with internal project teams, consultants, and clients as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required

• 0-3 years’ experience in civil engineering or related field is required

• Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam passed or ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment.

• Experience with site development design, stormwater management, and utility systems preferred.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Exposure to ICPR, WaterCAD, Hydraflow, or similar modeling software preferred.

• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
